FormFactor joins STC

EE-Evaluation Engineering, Feb, 2007

FormFactor, a producer of wafer sort, burn-in, and device performance testing products, recently joined the Semiconductor Test Consortium. The STC was founded in 2003 to develop OPENSTAR[R] Ecosystem, a common test architecture that is open, documented, and supported via solutions available from all ATE vendors.

"We look forward to FormFactor's inputs and active participation in driving new standards in our expanded technical working groups," said Klaus Luther, Infineon Technologies vice president test technology communication solutions and STC co-vice chairman. "The company's global presence and technical expertise will help drive critical industry standards that will provide cost-effective solutions."

Today, 44 semiconductor, equipment and instrumentation companies worldwide; 38 universities in Europe, Japan, China, and the United States; eight STIL users; and three individuals support the STC. www.semitest.org
