Moldable plastic shielding

EE-Evaluation Engineering, March, 2008

PREMIER[TM] PEI-140, a lightweight, polyetherimide-based, electrically conductive plastic with up to 85-dB shielding effectiveness and UL 94V-0 flammability rating, is suited to high-temperature aerospace, defense, and transportation applications. PEI-140 complies with RoHS, WEEE, EPA, EU, and TCO specifications for ecological compatibility, contains no halogenated compounds, and generates very little smoke in the event of a fire.

The amorphous, high-strength, chemical-resistant plastic is reinforced with a homogenous dispersion of proprietary conductive fibers throughout the molded part, regardless of geometry. Chomerics, Division of Parker Hannifin, www.rsleads.com/803ee-201
