Discover Brokerage, the San Francisco-based online unit of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co., has developed TradeRunner, a wireless investing service that enables customers to manage their portfolios from a palm-held organizer, the Internet, telephone or by contacting a salesperson. TradeRunner offers customers the ability to buy or sell equities, mutual funds and options; research the market with real-time news; get real-time quotes; review account balances, holdings, orders and activity; and get alerts on breaking market or stock activity.
TradeRunner will soon be compatible with the Palm V and with handheld devices using the Windows CE operating system.
