Fortune magazine is living up to its name. The biweekly business title published the largest issue in its history last week, reports Crain's New York Business What's more, at 636 pages, its the largest in publisher Time Ins.'s history. Even In Style, the hot fashion and celebrity mag, has only 560 pages this April.
The "Fortune 500" issue carries 398 advertising pages and is so at it required a separate printing plant to accommodate it. "I've gQt the bragging rights in the building right now," says publisher Michael Federle, who rattles off such and Ralph Lauren. Through the issue of April 17, Fortunes ad pages are up 42% over the year earlier he says. All the major business books are enjoying a robust year. According to publishers...
