HIRINGS & PROMOTIONS * Standish Ayer & Wood Inc. in Boston has named Richard. S. Wood, 46, president and chief executive officer. Mr. Wood has been a shareholder and member of the money management firm's board of directors since 1987 and serves on the board's executive committee.
He is also president of the board of trustees of the Standish mutual funds. He was co-manager of global bond assets with W. Charles Cook. * SunAmerica Retirement Markets Inc. in Los Angeles has named Cornelia Boyle executive vice president and chief operating officer.
