Buffett not buying.

Investment News, April, 2001 by Gabriel Jr., Frederick P.

Leave it to the BBM (billion-aire Buff Man) to throw a wet towel on Tuesday's stock rally. Against a backdrop of a soaring U.S. stock market, legendary investor Warren Buffett said Berkshire Hathaway Inc., his Omaha, Neb., investment company is doing little buying in the stock market and that the U.S.

economy is in the icy grip of a sharp slowdown. "We're not doing a lot of buying. We're buying more plans than we are stocks," he said at a press conference in London to promote Berkshire's Executive Jet unit. When one reporter asked when to buy stocks again. Mr. Buffett said: "When businesses sell in the market for less than they are worth." No doubt valuable advice.
