Locking it away. (Reverse Spin: The Week in Review).

Investment News, February, 2002 by Gabriel, Frederick P., Jr.

* A word to the wise: Be wary of advisers with too many post office box keys. On Wednesday the SEC sued a former Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette broker, accusing him of stealing more than $3.2 million from at least nine customers. The Miami, Fla., broker, R. Christopher Hanna, is charged with diverting authentic customer account statements to post office boxes or other locations he controlled.

He would send fake statements to the people whose money he was stealing, the SEC says. The government wants Mr. Hanna, who was fired in May to return all the funds, and pay additional civil penalties.
