National Planning Holdings Inc. in Santa Monica, Calif., has launched Electronic Order Entry, a web-based transaction-processing system designed to simplify how independent financial advisers enter, process and transact business. It automatically generates required forms and disclosures, and electronic trades, checks and securities blotters.
The system also eliminates repetitive data entry and paperwork deficiencies. Advisers are able to track the status of pending transactions while having real-time access to the broker-dealer account database. In addition, it provides a compliance rules engine that automatically flags potential regulatory issues proactively, and allows the broker-dealers' offices of supervisory jurisdiction and home-office...
