Robert C. Pozen has a lot to say about retirement.

In fact, the former president of Fidelity Investments' funds unit, who joined MFS Investment Management in February as its chairman, is fast becoming known as "Mr. Retirement,'' at least according to his own media handlers.

While Mr. Pozen scoffs at such a title, he admits that helping get Americans ready for their retirement has become a passion. In late 2001, Mr. Pozen, 57, was hand-picked by President Bush to serve on a commission charged with coming up with ideas for overhauling the Social Security system.
