Byline: Charles Paikert NEW YORK - Paul McCartney is the newest spokesperson for Fidelity Investments, the Boston-based financial services powerhouse. The former Beatle began promoting Fidelity and its financial products in a national advertising campaign that began last week with a 30-second spot on ABC Television's season-opening National Football League game between the New England Patriots and the Oakland Raiders.

Fidelity also will co-sponsor Mr. McCartney's 11-week music tour that begins this week in Miami. "We have a lot in common,'' Mr. McCartney said in a statement.
