Byline: Sara Hansard WASHINGTON - Advisers are less enthusiastic this year about the Bush administration's handling of the economy than they were in 2004, but the largest number continue to give the president a solid grade. Asked to rate the administration's performance on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being poor and 5 being excellent, nearly 31% of the advisers who responded to the InvestmentNews Investor Attitudes survey gave the administration a 4.

Last year, nearly 43% gave the administration a similar ranking. Chris Lissner, president of Acropolis Investment Management LLC in St. Louis, gave the administration a "4-plus.''
