Lehigh stocks contest imparts lessons; Students learn socially conscious investing.(News)

Byline: Thomas N. Zadvydas NEW YORK - Attend Lehigh University if you want to learn to invest like a Wall Street pro - with a heart. At the Bethlehem, Pa., university, students can participate in a socially conscious investing contest, run by David Meyers, professor of finance and business economics.

Lehigh's Global Citizenship Program and financial services lab created the contest to provide an opportunity to build portfolios and deploy investing strategies. Participants receive $500,000 in fictitious money to invest in Standard & Poor's 500 stock index stocks, based on socially conscious investing parameters that they establish.
