The AVCA406 Voltage Translator is said to provide the industry's first voltage level translator specifically designed for memory card interface with SD, MMC, MemoryStick and xD picture cards. Eliminating voltage mismatch by providing bi-directional voltage level translation between processor and card, the AVCA406 can also be used to multiplex between two SD/SDIO cards, e.g. a Wireless LAN card and an SD Memory Card. It is fully compliant with memory card standards, including recommended high-ESD protection rating by providing 15kV Human Body Model, [ or -] 15kV Air Gap Discharge and [ or -] 8kV Contact Discharge protection per IEC 61000-4-2 on the card side.
