Previous iterations of John Deere's work-minded Gator UTVs have been all work and no play--tough machines that offered very little in the good times, trail-riding department. All of that changes with the introduction of the 2007 Gator XUV 4x4.

While we're not going to knock solid utility credentials, modern UTVs like the Yamaha Rhino, Arctic Cat Prowler and Polaris Ranger have shown that athletic trail riding and a gritty workaholic personality are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Consumers have been trained to expect it all and have been rewarding brands that deliver on both fronts.
