Computer bookkeepers must have power backup. (uninterruptible power supply)
Israel Business Today, December, 1991
Computer Bookkeepers Must Have Power Backup As of January 1992, all companies registered as licensed businesses and whose bookkeeping is performed by computer or cash register, must install a backup power supply or "UPS" as it is known in the trade. The UPS comes into operation whenever there is a power cut and provides backup power for 15 minutes or more.
The aim of the UPS is to allow the operator to complete a transaction without losing valuable data. Prices range from NIS 900 up to NIS 6,400 for a system to backup a network.
