Microsoft Israel has announced a Software Development Kit for the development of Hebrew graphics in its forthcoming 3.1 version of Windows. The kit was introduced to a forum of Israeli software houses. The kit helps computer experts develop applications for a product in advance of its release, promoting the value of the environment.
Windows 3.1 is to be the first commercially available Windows environment for Hebrew applications. The currently available SDK is the beta version. In order to develop applications, programmers need to use C language and its features: editor, compiler, linker and debugger. The kit was developed at Microsoft laboratories in the U.S. together with the developers of the Jerusalem based company Kivun Computers Ltd.
