Both Toshiba of Japan and the U.S. firm General Electric will participate in a tender to build a nuclear power station in Israel. The subject will be discussed by Japanese leaders and Foreign Minister Shimon Peres when he visits Tokyo as an guest of the Japanese government. Japanese officials told World Jewish Congress leaders that they opposed the economic boycott against Israel and that they plan to revise administrative directives in order to prevent Japanese companies from giving in to the boycott.
