U.S. Army orders Elbit. (Elbit's Thru-Sight Video electro-optical tank-training system)

Elbit has won a U.S. army tender to supply hundreds of tank training systems. The electro-optic systems - called Thru-Sight Video (TSV) - facilitates real-time control of the tank's firing system during training. The video displays the position of the tank turret and the tank commander's field of vision. The display is recorded and transferred to the training center.

Elbit previously supplied a fire control system for the training center. The deals were worth $7.6 million. Elbit won the TSV tender through its American subsidiaries.

Located in Haifa, the company develops, markets, and exports systems and products for military and paramilitary application. Elbit shares are traded on NASDAQ NMS.

Elbit shares are trading at $42.75, down from $49.75 in January.
