Logal program wins award. (Logal Educational Software System's Photosynthesis Biology Explorer educational software program, University of Maryland Center for Computer Science award best natural science software)

The University of Maryland's Center for Computer Science has chosen Logal Educational Software Systems's Photosynthesis Biology Explorer as the best natural sciences educational software program. One hundred and forty-four projects were entered in the competition and the prize is one of the most prestigious of its kind. Logol's program was also awarded a prize for best graphics.
The photosynthesis program simulates the process as it happens in real life. The system encourages students to conduct experiments which test the effect of the environment on a "plant". The student can change the lighting, temperature, and humidity that the "plant" receives in its natural environment.
