Pratt & Whitney-IAI deal. (Israeli Aircraft Industries Inc.) (Brief Article)

Israel Aircraft Industries' (IAI) MHT plant has signed a deal with the U.S. company Pratt & Whitney to develop state-of-the- art, computer-based "CBT" training systems for Pratt & Whitney's advanced aircraft engines. In the initial stage, Pratt & Whitney will supply the necessary technical data for MHT to develop courseware for product support of the PW4000 engine family. Pratt & Whitney International Business Office Director Robert Robinson said his company believes there is great sales potential for the "CBT" system, since PW4000 engines are used in a variety of passenger aircraft. MHT R&D Manager Avi Kedem said other international companies expressed interest in the IAI product.
