Israel to sign flight agreement with Japan.

Israel Business Today, January, 1994

Israel and Japan will sign a mutual flight agreement in September 1994, Civil Aviation Authority Director Menachem Sharon said on his recent return from Japan and South Koea. (See IBT no. 359. p. 18.) The agreement will allow E1 A1 planes to land in Japan's international airport to be built near Osaka, rather than in the two international airports near Tokyo. Japan has said there is no landing space in Tokyo's two international airports. The international airport near Osaka will not be completed until September.

Sharon also said that Israel and South Korea are negotiating a mutual flight agreement. A Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson confirmed this but was unable to supply details. C/29/12/3C/YA
