Ubique receives $1.5 M investment. (software startup company)

Anglo American Ventures (AAV), Yozma Venture Capital, and Euro-America, a venture capital fund active in the U.S. and France, have made an initial investment of $1.5 million in Ubique, a software startup firm. Prof. Ehud Shapiro of the Weizmann Institute of the group which developed the software upon which Ubique's activities are based.
The company, based on Rehovot, developed a shared work environment known as "cyberspace", which offers users of networked computers advanced conferencing and collaborating capabilities. Ubique's target market consists of subcribers to Internet, a fast growing international computer network. Industry analysts predict that Internet will become the "Information Superhighway now being promoted by the Clinton Administration.
