Alliance scores high in U.S. test. (Alliance Tire & Rubber Co., U.S. Department of Transportation test)

Alliance Tire & Rubber Co. scored high marks on tests carried out by the U.S. Department of Transportation. The tests, which involved standard tires, included checking tire tread wear and tear, braking ability, and ability to withstand high temperatures. Alliance scored higher than such industry giants as Michelin and Pirelli.
The tests showed that Alliance standard tires for passenger vehicles can withstand speeds of up to 210 kilometers (130 miles) per hour, while those of other companies tested were able to withstand speeds of only 180-190 kilometers (112-118 miles) per hour.
