RAD Data Communications Ltd, an Israeli high-tech company specializing in computer and network connectivity equipment, is making rapid progress exporting to the developing nations of Eastern Europe. In 1993, the company experienced a 250% increase in sales, and RAD executives credit the small size of the firm and its diverse ethnic workforce for the huge sales growth. Many of the Eastern European countries have had almost no telecommunications capabilities at all until now, and RAD is therefore helping to develop state-of-the-art data and voice communication networks from the ground up. RAD's current contracts include projects in the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan and Russia.
