Bank Leumi Le-Israel's net profits in 1993 increased 58.1 percent to reach NIS 373 million (approx. $125.5 million), up from NIS 234.2 million ($78.8 million at the current exchange rate) in 1992. Fourth quarter net profits reached NIS 141.4 million ($47.6 million), compared with NIS 74.9 million ($25.2 million at the current exchange rate) in the fourth quarter of 1992 - a growth of 88.8 percent.
Profit yield on equity capital stood at 8.5 percent, as opposed to 5.7 percent the previous year.
