Israel Business Today, May, 1996

Bank Hapoalim has announced the signing of a $12.75 million long-term loan agreement with the Khazakstani government bank Eximbank. The loan is to be granted via the Israeli Foreign Trade Risk company and will be guaranteed by the Khazakstani government.

The loan will be used to pay for the work contributed by Ramat Hovev-based company Metal Technology in a $45-million oil refinery construction project located near gas and oil fields in western Khazakstan.

The agreement was signed at the beginning of the month by Eximbank deputy board chairman Mr. Gidron and the bank's long-term credit department manager Mrs. Krilova, and by Hapoalim joint managing director Moshe Amit and the foreign trade manager Ehud Arnon.
