One of the world's largest multinational pharmaceutical companies, U.S.-based Eli Lilly, has decided to establish a subsidiary in Israel. A spokesperson for the U.S. company said that the move is part of its international strategy to establish greater market presence around the globe. To date, Eli Lilly's products have been imported and distributed in Israel by Luxembourg Medicines which will continue to operate in this capacity.
The new subsidiary will be responsible for marketing and registering Eli Lilly products, introducing new healthcare products to the local market and conducting clinical research in conjunction with local research institutes.
