Motorola Semiconductor and Mentor join up.

Mentor Graphics and Motorola Semiconductor have announced they will embark on a joint development program aimed at producing new silicon chip-based computer applications. Elisha Wortman, managing director of Mentor Graphics Israel said that the program would generate a range of applications, including mixed signal applications, such as electromechanical sensors and radio frequency communications chips.

The agreement also covers the distribution of Motorola's Verilog-A design technology by Mentor.
