TIS and IBM Unite Computer Centers. (Tadiran Information Systems)
Israel Business Today, November, 1997
Tadiran Information Systems (TIS) and IBM have announced that they are to combine the services and infrastructure activities provided by their computer centers. The move follows IBM's takeover of TIS and transfer of all the latter's outsourcing personnel to IBM's payroll. A spokesperson for IBM said that the newly integrated facility will offer services to other users of TIS outsourcing services.
In April this year, IBM acquired a 51 percent interest in TIS, under the terms of which IBM transferred all its outsourcing business to TIS.
TIS outsourcing business development manager, Yoav Tsur, said that a special department had been established for work in this field, adding that TIS expects to achieve outsourcing revenue of $30 million by the end of 1997.
