RAD Data Communications expands company's line.

Israel Business Today, March, 1998

RAD Data Communications has expanded the company's line of xDSL modems to include the HCD-E1, which integrates data, voice and LAN services over a single n x 64 kbps link, using HDSL technology. The HCD-E1 extends transmission over existing copper line to 4.5 kilometers, providing immunity to background noise and compensation for poor line quality.

The HCD-E1 operates opposite RAD's rack-mounted HDSL products, including the HTU-E1 Termination Unit (E1 interface) and the HTU-E2 Acess Unit (2 Mbps G.703 interface), so that the carrier has a complete managed local loop solution from a single vendor. This results in a cost effective solution for corporate connectivity because the HCD-E1 reaches the customer with only one link. Therefore the overall service is less expensive.
