Siemens Venture Capital (SVC) is concentrating its investments in Israel. So far this year SVC has invested $30 million of venture capital in Israel. This place Israel second in the world after the US as a recipient of venture capital investments from SVC of Israel accounts for 24 percent of SVC investments worldwide, the US 42 percent and Europe 22 percent.

Most of SVC investments in Israel this year have gone to local venture capital funds that have invested in biotech and drug start-up companies. Lately SVC has become more flexible in its investment strategy and is now making direct investments in Israeli companies.
