Program-generation tools for PCs ease IEEE-488 system integration The IEEE-488 bus (or GPIB) provides a quick, convenient method of connecting instruments as an ATE system, but generating the software to control these instruments has always been a time-consuming task. Now, however, you cn obtain personal-computer-based CASE (computer-aided software engineering) tools that speed up the process of developing software for IEEE-488 systems.
