Modular Measurement System consortium forms Following an endorsement last month of its open-architecture HP 70000 Modular Measurement System (MMS) by a major Navy program contractor, Hewlett-Packard's Signal Analysis Division (Rohnert Park, CA) has announced another boon for MMS: A consortium consisting of HP and four other companies is forming this month.

The consortium will develop and publish a specification for MMS, according to HP MMS product manager Ron Rausch.

The consortium members, all instrument makers, are HP, Martin Communications (Australia), Marconi Instruments (United Kingdom), Comstron Corp (Long Island, NY), and Microsource Inc (Santa Rosa, CA).
