Roadnet Technologies expands its core of software engineers Between 60 and 70 immediate openings exist Roadnet Technologies Inc of Timonium, MD, has between 60 to 70 immediate openings for software engineers. A wholly owned subsidiary of United Parcel Service (UPS), Roadnet was founded in 1982 as an independent company called Roadnet Systems Corp to develop personal-computer-based routing and scheduling software systems.

The company was acquired by UPS in 1986, as the shipping giant wanted to "catch up technologically," says vice president and general manager Dudley Land.
