LAS VEGAS, NV--Low-end graphics workstations that process graphics or audio from the system motherboard, as well as a high-end system that touts banks of multiprocessors, were among the highlights at this year's SIGGRAPH exhibition. On the eve of the show, Silicon Graphics (Mountain View, CA), Sun Microsystems (Mountain View, CA), and IBM (White Plains, NY) each launched graphics workstations.
