Industry-wide retrenchment has eliminated thousands of engineering jobs. What's worse, many of those positions will never exist again, and the competition for the leftovers is fierce. Yet some EEs are overcoming these hurdles and building new careers, often by rewriting their resumes to promote previously overlooed skills and experiences.
