A pair of CPU boards that target embedded and real-time applications perform the function of a complete SPARCstation-2-compatible computer. The CPU-2E is a VMEbus-compatible board, and the CPU-2S is a board that does not include a system bus. Both boards fit VMEbus 6U single slots. The CPU-2S uses VMEbus connectors only for power and ground.
The boards share a number of features. Both include two SBus-compatible expansion connectors. The boards can accommodate as much as 32 Mbytes of memory each, and you can add another 32 Mbytes with daughter cards. They each include two serial ports, a keyboard/mouse interface, an audio port, an Ethernet port, and a SCSI-2 port, all of which are accessible from the front panel.
