Teleconferencing capability is now available for your Windows-based ISA bus PC, with a bonus. The InterVu 1 board set provides P*64-compliant teleconferencing over an ISDN phone line and can handle JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) and MPEG (Moving Picture Experts Group) image compression for other applications.
The set comprises three boards: an encoder board, a decoder board, and an ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) board. Together they can handle 24-bit color images with associated audio, requiring only a color camera for image capture and a standard VGA monitor for playback.
