"Customers are pushing for surface-mount compatibility for reliability reasons and to reduce assembly costs," he says. That's why the company's AK40/42A series of high-density dc-dc converters is fully compatible with surface-mount pick-and-place equipment.
Intended for embedded applications, the AK40 is an ultra-compact, high-power-density (15W/cu. in.) converter that operates from either 24V or 48V dc input to provide single-output voltages of 1.5, 1.8, 2.1, 2.5, 5.0 of 12V dc.
