Online retailers stand to lose as much as $14.7 billion this holiday season unless they improve the online shopping experience, according to a report from Creative Good. Price for memory chips, which generally fall 30% a year, increased 8% in 2000 from an average of $3.11 per megabyte in 1999 to $3.34 this year.--Jim Handy, an analyst with Gartner Dataquest.

Online-direct and online-influenced car sales will be worth $128 billion by 2004, according to Jupiter Communications. Of all consumers trying to purchase online this Christmas, 43% will leave Web sites without placing an order, according to a new report from Creative Good.
