The information-technology costs of recovery and relocation after the September 11 attack on the United States will be $15.8 billion over three years or more, predicts Computer Economics.--The New York Times, Sept 24, 2001 Spending on information technology in 2001 will grow only 3% compared with 11% growth last year, according to International Data Corp.

IDC forecasts that the global market for information-security services will reach $21 billion by the end of 2005, up from $6.7 billion last year.
