Technology provides a Bridge to C. (leading edge).(Mentor Graphics' C Bridge for Windows programming utility)(Product Announcement)(Brief Article)

EDN, April, 2002 by Moretti, Gabe

Mentor Graphics has announced C-Bridge technology, an extension of its Seamless co-verification environment. C-Bridge promotes high-level modeling and improves the verification performance of embedded designs by incorporating C and C hardware descriptions, testbenches, and protocol models into Seamless coverification sessions. Functions modeled at a higher level of abstraction enable designers to rapidly create flexible prototypes that encapsulate desired functions and performance attributes. Seamless with C-Bridge enables you to incorporate hardware-and test-related constructs described in C into a design described in an HDL. C-Bridge imposes no restrictions on the use of C constructs, facilitating reuse. C-Bridge also supports Open System C.
