Accommodating data rates to 6.25 Gbps, the Champ Z-DOK connector system also allows for standard board materials and routing techniques. The system uses the Champ .050 connector interface, adapted to a blind-mate design for docking applications. The connector features a Tri-Q contact system that maximizes data throughput and minimizes pair-to-pair crosstalk and impedance discontinuities.

Each differential contact pair is close to a dedicated ground, resulting in a uniform impedance profile and low noise. Grounds stay within two contact rows, simplifying trace routing, controlling crosstalk, and minimizing impedance discontinuities at the board interface.
