Programmable bridge targets use in Intel PXA2XX.(Electronic Design Automation)

QuickLogic Corp has announced its first product in a series of uWatt programmable bridges for Intel PXA2XX processor line, which QuickLogic based on the Intel XScale microarchitecture. The QuickPCI-based bridge allows designers to expand the Intel XScale microarchitecture's native peripheral set to communicate with PCI-based peripherals, such as Wi-Fi, Ultra Wideband, and USB 2.0 to aid users targeting application such as handheld GPS, portable medical systems, voice-over-wireless-LAN PDAs, and smart phones. In addition to the bridge, QuickLogic has developed a Wi-Fi product comprising a daughtercard that plugs into Intel's PXA270-based mainstone processor developer's kit using a VLIO (Variable Latency I/O) connector and a Linux OS board-support package.
