American Drycleaner, November, 2000
Bill Seitz, executive director of the Neighborhood Cleaners Association-International (NCA-I) announced his retirement at the Sept. 14 meeting of the association's board of directors, effective at the end of the year. At Seitz' suggestion, the board voted to appoint Nora Nealis interim executive director; Seitz will continue to work in an advisory role during the transition.
Seitz has been synonymous with NCA-I and drycleaning for more than half a century. The association had only 150 members when he came aboard; today, its membership numbers more than 4,000. Seitz became executive director in 1971, and since has been one of the industry's foremost ambassadors, known for his congeniality and championship of cleaners' issues.
