TCS Software's Conveyor Solution can be added or retrofitted to any existing conveyor, the company says, to speed pickup for staffers and customers alike. The unit eliminates trips from counter to conveyor, saving anywhere from two to four minutes on each pickup.
The Conveyor Solution has a display for the counterperson at the conveyor pickup point to eliminate confusion, so no paper pickup list is needed. The system allows the the conveyor to take the quickest path to gather orders together. It works with a foot switch, hand switch or box, the company says, and is available with TCS' point-of-sale (POS) system, or as a retrofit for manual systems.
