Primarion now offers four 10 Gb/s optoelectronic ICs that enable cost-effective, high-performance optical datacom modules and critical I/O connectivity for emerging short-range 10 Gb/s networks. The chips deliver 10 Gb/s data-communications for backplanes, modules and switches using advanced protocols including InfiniBand, Fibre Channel, Ethernet, OIF VSR and XAUI. The family of ICs include Primarion PX5414 4x3. 125 Gb/s VCSEL driver chip, Primarion PX5424 4x3.125 Gb/s optical receiver Chip, Primarion PX6411 10 Gb/s VCSEL driver chip and Primarion PX6421 10 Gb/s optical receiver chip. The Primarion VCSEL driver chips receive electrical digital signals and drive low cost VCSELs which emit light to complete the electrical to optical conversion. Photo detectors receive the...
