NEC Electronics America Inc. has announced the availability of color and monochrome models of the company's 21.3" QXGA Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD). The displays feature the company's SFT technology based on in-plane switching (IPS) ultra-wide viewing angle technology said to result in faster response times over previous displays, improved panel transmissivity, minimized color shift and wide viewing angles of up to 170[degrees]. Samples of both the QXGA displays and the UXGA display are available now. Samples of the QXGA color display, model number NL204153BC21-02, are priced at $2,750 per unit.
