Altera Corp. and Gidel have announced the availability of Gidel's stackable PROCSuperStar Stratix 80 development board for reconfigurable system development. It is available with up to three Stratix[TM] EP1S80 FPGAs on each board and all the necessary hardware to build large reconfigurable systems. With the ability to stack up to seven boards for a total of 21 Stratix devices, the Gidel development system is suitable for high-band-width, high-density applications such as SoC rapid prototyping, supercomputing, digital signal processing, imaging, machine vision and video processing.
