Cree announces addition to XLAMP[TM] LED family.(Optoelectronics & Displays)

The 4550 Series Xlamp[TM] products from Cree are based on a high power, solid state LED technology that is designed to provide an alternative to the incandescent bulb and other conventional light sources in architectural and accent lighting and other general illumination applications. The 4550 Series XLamp uses a medium high-power surface mount package designed to operate at 1/2W with a typical operating current of 125 mA and a footprint of 4.5 mm X 5.0 mm. ESD is >2000V. The operating temperature is--20[degrees]C to 80[degrees]C for both InGaN and AllnGaAIP versions, and the LED junction temperature is 125[degrees]C. The series is available in blue and green versions based on Cree's XB500[TM] chips as a light engine. The 4550 product is also available in a red version....
